"Homestead Agronomy"
-How to improve your pastures at any scale-
Saturday 2nd of November
7am start at Wolki Farm, 14 South Street Woomargama
Morning Tea & a Hearty Lunch provided by Mrs W!
Join David Bushell, James Alexander and Jacob Wolki for a 1 day workshop at Wolki Farm, Woomargama.
This workshop has been created for people who are wanting to improve pastures on their homesteads and smaller acreages.
We understand that a lot of land holders want to improve their pastures, soil, ecosystems and livestock health, but are operating at a level that makes accessing agronomists and consultants cost prohibitive.
We also understand that sourcing advice from conventional sources doesn't always fit the context of people who want to farm in an organic and holistic way.
Whether you have 2 acres, some chickens and a horse or 100 acres and some beef breeders, we believe that this event will be of value to you.
If you are managing land as a hobby or passion, wanting to grow your own food or are interested in starting your own direct to market business, we have crafted this day at Wolki Farm to be valuable for you and to address common concerns and issues that Australian farmers come up against.
Who’s who?!
David Bushell is an agronomist with 30 years experience and a certified organic sheep, beef & crop farmer.
James Alexander is a former agronomist, grazier and Nuffield scholar who has experience with natural intelligence farming and other cutting edge philosophies.
Jacob Wolki is an innovator, farmer and businessman who is selling his chemical free meat direct to consumer via his revolutionary 24/7 staffless butchery and website.
Our day will be kicked off with a hands on farm tour of Wolki Farm, Woomargama.
On this tour Jacob will be showing you Wolki Farm’s Pasture Raised Pigs, a herd of Nguni cattle, Chickens in their portable Eggmobiles, a couple house cows and plenty more!
We have structured the day to be roughly half practical work on field and half engaging and information presentations.bbbbb
