Will it arrive frozen? +
We pack and dispatch every box snap-frozen at −17°C with dry ice inside insulated boxes, and the vast majority arrive frozen solid. On longer regional runs the outer portions can occasionally soften a little in transit — this is normal and nothing to worry about. As long as the pork is still cold to the touch, it's completely safe to put straight back in your freezer or cook within a day or two, in line with the NSW Food Authority's red-meat handling guidance. If anything ever arrives warm or you're not happy, get in touch and we'll make it right.
What cuts will I get? +
A balanced whole-animal selection from our heritage breeds: roughly 20% prime cuts (pork scotch, loin chops, loin cutlets), 20% roasts (belly, rolled shoulder, knuckle, American ribs), 20% secondary cuts (chops, diced pork), 20% mince and 20% sausages. Each box is curated by our butchers based on what's available that week.
How long does delivery take? +
We dispatch every Wednesday. Metro 5–6 days; regional and WA/TAS 7–10 days. Tracking is included. Use the postcode checker above to confirm we service your area.
Can I pause or cancel a subscription? +
Anytime, from your account. There's no minimum commitment, no fees — skip a delivery, swap your box size, or cancel outright whenever you like.
Why is your pork red, not pale pink? +
Because real pork is a red meat. The “pork is the new white meat” slogan from the 1980s was marketing for pigs raised indoors under fluorescent light, on grain, with no exposure to sunlight, soil or pasture. Our pigs are heritage Berkshires and Saddlebacks — they live outdoors, root through dirt, forage on pasture, and develop the deep colour and rich flavour pork is meant to have. If your supermarket pork looks pale, that's a confinement marker, not a quality one.
What makes Wolki Farm pork different? +

Is your meat Halal or Kosher? +
No — our pork is neither Halal nor Kosher (and by definition pork cannot be either). Our pigs are processed at government-inspected abattoirs just over the river in northern Victoria.
Can I pick up instead of shipping? +
Yes — free pickup from Wolki Butchery, 317A Urana Rd, Lavington NSW 2641. Select pickup at checkout and we'll let you know when your box is ready.

We're not going to crackle-coat it, but our grass fed pork is pretty bloody tasty. It’s also nutritious. Our pork comes from happy, respected heritage-breed pigs that live outdoors, free of cages, confinement, and chemicals. True free-range, organic pork – just as nature intended.
What is grass fed pork?
Our pork is grown on our regenerative farm in Albury, outdoors in open paddocks, where they can forage and enjoy 24/7 access to lush nutrient-rich grasses. Not only does this result in happy pigs, but it also creates deep-flavoured, exceptional-tasting meat.
But for all the great qualities you will find in our grass fed pork, there are a few important things Wolki grass fed pork products are free of:

Truly free-range, beyond organic pork
There’s one other small note we’d like to make about purchasing our grass fed pork: it’s red meat, not white.
Why? Well, one reason is because we use old heritage breed pigs that are suited to living outdoors (which coincidentally, also results in pigs almost double the size of commercially produced pigs, meaning thick, substantial cuts of meat).
But also because pale pork indicates an animal who’s never roamed in the pasture, or dug in the dirt. Instead it’s likely been subjected to a steady diet of medication to keep it alive and reproducing.
Folks, pork isn’t the ‘new white meat’. This slogan was introduced in the ‘80s, encouraging consumers to accept the new look of pork produced using commercial farming methods, aka confinement housing. If your pork is closer to white than red you are being lied to and sold an inferior product.
Our pork is red meat, as it should be, and just so happens to be delicious as well.
