Did you know that deer were brought to Australia in the 1800s for their beauty, but quickly became a problem for local vegetation due to lack of natural predators? As a result, they’re often culled and left to waste. We saw this as an opportunity – a fantastic food source going unused. That’s where our venison comes in.
Venison is a lean, tender, and subtly flavoured meat. With the highest protein per gram and the lowest fat content in the red meat world, plus outstanding iron and Omega 3 levels, you’re not just getting a meal – you’re serving up a nutritional powerhouse.
Our wild venison is responsibly harvested at one of our properties, Wombat Springs, Kancoona. A resident sharpshooter ensures the animals are culled humanely and ethically. From there, our venison is inspected by licensed professionals for quality control before making its way to the Wolki Butchery shelves. You can trust you’re getting only the best.
What you WON’T find is gluten, nuts or seeds, preservatives, additives, colourings, flavours, chemicals, fillers, or water in our mince.
Instead, you’ll only find pure, wild harvested protein.
